J&J’s Engineering Solutions Division was awarded a task order under our Medical Repair and Renewal (MRR) contract to provide a Site Survey Report, Design, and Renewal effort at Building 322, the Fisher Army Dental Laboratory (ADL), Fort Gordon, GA.
Objective: Renew the entire building (approx. 22,658 SF) to meet the increasing demands facing the facility, which is the only centralized dental lab in the Army inventory.
The project was completed in three (3) phases:
- Phase 1: Transition Space
- Phase 2: Repair/Renewal of the Transition Space
- Phase 3: Repair/Renewal of the Transition Space
Achievement: LEED Silver Certification
The ADL provides critical support to U.S. Army Dental Command’s mission of oral health care to America’s Warriors on a global scale, including support to 147 dental clinics worldwide. Its mission could not be accomplished without facilities that meet health accessibility, life safety, mechanical, electrical, and related building codes. J&J’s experienced construction team provided the Eisenhower Army Facility with a 14,000 SF transition space to accommodate the Fisher ADL during the phase of reconstruction. The onsite management assisted with the seamless transition to and from the transition space to help minimize any downtime.
